The 1923–24 North Carolina Tar Heels men's basketball team represented the University of North Carolina during the 1923–24 NCAA men's basketball season in the United States. The head coach was Norman Shepard, coaching in his first and only season with the Tar Heels. The team finished the season with a 26–0 record[1] and were named national champions by the Helms Athletic Foundation.[2]

The players who earned a varsity letter in 1923–24 were Cartwright Carmichael, Jack Cobb, Billy Devin, Bill Dodderer, Donald Koonce, Henry Lineberger, Sam McDonald, and Jimmy Poole.[3]
