1791 Patsayev (1967 RE) is a main-belt asteroid discovered on September 4, 1967 by T. Smirnova at Nauchnyj.
It is named for Soviet cosmonaut Viktor Patsayev who flew on the Soyuz 11 mission and had the unfortunate distinction of being part of the second crew to die during a space flight.[1]
