1761 Edmondson is a main-belt asteroid discovered March 30, 1952 by the Indiana Asteroid Program at Goethe Link Observatory near Brooklyn, Indiana.[1] It is named for astronomer Frank K. Edmondson of Indiana University, the program's founder and director.[2]
