13th Guards Airborne Division
The 13th Guards Airborne Division was a division of the Soviet Airborne Troops which was part of the 37th Guards Airborne Corps.[1]
It was later redesignated the 103rd Guards Rifle Division. The 103rd Guards Airborne Division was activated 7.6.46 in Seltsy, Ryazan Oblast, from the 103rd Guards Rifle Division.[2]
Reformed 1 October 1948 at Galenki, Primorsky Krai, under the 37th Guards Airborne Corps. It was disbanded on 1 April 1955.[3] Two regiments were reassigned to other airborne divisions:
- 116th Guards Parachute Regiment was transferred to the 99th Guards Airborne Division
- 217th Guards Parachute Regiment was transferred to the 98th Guards Airborne Division
