    1226 Golia (1930 HL) is a substantial main-belt asteroid discovered on April 22, 1930 by Van Gent, H. at Johannesburg (LS). Its direction of rotation remains unknown.[1] although its period is just over 4 hours.[2]

    The asteroid is named after Jakob Gool.[3]
