1156 Kira is a main belt asteroid orbiting the Sun. It makes a revolution around the Sun once every 3 years. It was discovered by Karl Wilhelm Reinmuth at Heidelberg, Germany on February 22, 1928.[1] Its provisional designation was 1928 DA. Any reference to of this name to a person or occurrence is unknown.[2]
