10683 Carter (1980 LY) is a main-belt asteroid discovered on June 10, 1980 by C. S. Shoemaker and E. M. Shoemaker at Palomar Observatory. It is named for Carter Worth Roberts, president of the Eastbay Astronomical Society.[1]
