10617 Takumi (1997 UK24) is a main-belt asteroid discovered on October 25, 1997 by M. Hirasawa and Shohei Suzuki at Nyukasa. It is named after astronomer Takumi Takahata, whose "measurescope" [sic] was used by the discoverers to determine the asteroid's coordinates.[1]
