Świecie [ˈɕfjɛt͡ɕɛ] (German: Schwerta) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Leśna, within Lubań County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in south-western Poland, near the border with the Czech Republic.[1] Prior to 1945 it was in Germany.
It lies approximately 5 kilometres (3 mi) south of Leśna, 15 kilometres (9 mi) south of Lubań, and 124 kilometres (77 mi) west of the regional capital Wrocław.
The village has a population of 570.
