Ćwiklice [t͡ɕfiˈklit͡sɛ] (German Cwiklitz) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Pszczyna, within Pszczyna County, Silesian Voivodeship, in southern Poland.[1] It lies approximately 3 kilometres (2 mi) east of Pszczyna and 30 km (19 mi) south of the regional capital Katowice.
The village has a population of approximately 2,400.
History
The village was first mentioned in 1326 in the register of Peter's Pence payment among Catholic parishes of Oświęcim deaconry of the Diocese of Kraków as Cviclicz.[2]
