Juan Álvaro José Gaxiola Robles (born 26 January 1937 in Guadalajara, Jalisco, died 18 August 2003) is a former Mexican diver.[1] He competed for Mexico at the 1968 Summer Olympics held in Mexico City, Mexico where he won the silver medal in the men's platform event.
Alvaro Gaxiola lived for some years in Ann Arbor (Michigan, USA) where he was a varsity diver for Ann Arbor High School and then for the University of Michigan. His younger brother Alex swam backstroke on the varsity swim teams at both schools.
