Alejandro 'Álex' Granell Nogué (born 2 August 1988) is a Spanish professional footballer who plays for Girona FC as a left winger.

Football career

Born in Olot, Girona, Catalonia, Granell began his career with local CE Farners, and played in Tercera División in the following campaigns, representing CD Banyoles, AEC Manlleu, UE Llagostera and UE Olot, all from his native region. With the second to last he achieved promotion, appearing in 34 matches and scoring three goals.

Granell first arrived in Segunda División B in 2012, after returning to Llagostera. However, after starting rarely, he moved to fellow league team Cádiz CF on 28 December 2012.[1] On 1 August 2013 he joined AE Prat, also in the third level.[2]

On 30 June 2014 Granell joined Segunda División's Girona FC, signing a two-year deal.[3] On 24 August he made his debut in the competition, starting in a 1–0 home win against Racing de Santander.[4]

On 23 November Granell scored his first professional goal, scoring the last in a 2–0 home win against Recreativo de Huelva.[5]
