Product line

Vanilla Zingers
Raspberry Zingers

Zingers are similar to Twinkies and come in devil's food, vanilla, and raspberry flavors.

Chocolate and vanilla Zingers have a thick layer of icing on top with cream (synthetic, not dairy) filling in the middle. Raspberry Zingers do not have icing on top but are instead covered in a mixture of shaved coconut and raspberry flavored syrup.

Marketing

A series of commercials for Zingers used the Peanuts characters, with Snoopy playing the part of the mysterious "Zinger Zapper", the thrust of the ads featuring the other characters attempting to discover his true identity by tempting him with Zingers.

It was rumored that an Ecto Cooler flavor of Zingers existed as a tie-in with The Real Ghostbusters in the 1980s. An article was posted on Dinosaur Dracula in January of 2014 that questioned the validity of this rumor, finding it to be unlikely, but not disproven.[2]
