Zimapán (Otomi: Mabo̱za) is a town and one of the 84 municipalities of Hidalgo, in central-eastern Mexico. The municipality covers an area of 860.9 km².
As of 2005, the municipality had a total population of 34,476. Zimapán has a regional hospital and 7 Health Centers. It also has 32 Casas de Salud, or Health Houses.[1]
