Zhou Shengxian

Zhou Shengxian (Chinese: 周生贤; born 1949) is the first and current Minister of Environmental Protection of the People's Republic of China.[1] Zhou was born in Wuzhong, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. He joined the Communist Party of China in 1972, and is a senior economist. He was an alternate member of the 16th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, and is currently a full member of the 17th Central Committee.
