ZIL-E-167 is an off-road truck.

This truck was designed in the beginning of 1960’s. It was designed to withstand difficult conditions in Siberia, Urals and far east and northern territories of Soviet Union. It is also able to cross water and it is able to control its tire pressure, equipped with air cleaning systems and has 4.5 kW electric engine to pump water (in case of fire) and it also has radio transmission capabilities.

The two engines, were located in the rear of the vehicle. Air inlets were situated on the sides of the body. The bottom of the vehicle was protected with metal sheets which were meant to improved the vehicles sliding characteristics in snow. The cab was the same as the BAZ-135.

Mainly due to the complexity of the transmission they never put it into mass production.
