Family Guy (season 11) List of Family Guy episodes |
"Yug Ylimaf" (Family Guy backwards) is the fourth episode of the eleventh season of the animated comedy series Family Guy. It originally aired on the Fox network in the United States on November 11, 2012. This was the 200th episode produced and was promoted as such, but was the 192nd episode broadcast. The title is "Family Guy" spelled backwards.
Plot
When Brian attempts to go score a date at a bar, he gets a woman to come to his house by saying he has a time machine. He goes into Stewie's room with his date and uses his time machine to travel with his date to the Assassination of Abraham Lincoln (which is heckled by Statler and Waldorf until Statler is also shot). He soon uses this tactic to score other dates, going to places like the Hindenburg disaster (where Brian makes out with a girl as the Hindenburg begins to crash into the ground) and segregation-era America. However, when Brian notices the "years traveled" gauge on the time machine will make Stewie find out about his doings, he sets them backward, which causes the time machine to have a meltdown. Stewie wakes up and discovers Brian tampering with the machine and a great blast of energy blows them toward the wall, knocking them out.
The two wake up the next morning and discover that Brian's tampering with the machine has caused time to run backward. Brian and Stewie go around town to examine the effects of the machine and witness events running backwards such as a fight between Peter and Ernie the Giant Chicken after Peter had opened his car door when Ernie rode his bicycle into it. When Stewie sees that he is un-teething, he realizes that the reversed timeline is affecting them as well, and worse, that time is reversing at an extremely fast rate after seeing that Cleveland is living in Quahog and reliving the Ipecac incident from years ago. When they see that Bonnie is pregnant and that Susie is not born, Stewie realizes that he too will be unborn if the time machine is not fixed.
While Stewie attempts to repair the time machine, he loses the ability to walk and realizes that the time of his birth is growing near. When Stewie is going to be taken to the hospital to be unborn, he tells Brian that it is now up to him to fix the machine. When Brian tries to set time forward again, he gets the idea to do what he did the first time, set the time gauge forward, causing a second meltdown and Brian is knocked out again. He wakes up to see that the timeline has returned to normal and he rushes to the hospital just in time to witness Stewie's birth, where it shows that Brian was inadvertently responsible for Stewie getting his name. Stewie thanks Brian for saving his life and the Griffins head home with their newborn baby. As the episode ends with it showing the Executive Producers, Chris's voice is heard telling the family that he heard Stewie talk, but Lois disregards this.
