Overview

Ysgol Meifod is a rural community school situated in the centre of the village in the Meifod Valley. The school has three classrooms. There is a large playground and playing field, lawns, gardens and vegetable plots, a greenhouse and potting shed; a pond and an early-years play area.

The school is headed by Headteacher Mrs Delyth Evans and assisted by four full-time teachers and two peripatetic teachers in Welsh and Music.

In addition there are a further seven non-teaching staff to support the education.

Community Involvement

The local community is regularly informed of all school activities and always supports the school. Posters are also regularly displayed promoting school events. The Headteacher invites members of the community to attend the Christmas concert and other events by letter delivered to each household in the village.

Pupils wear school uniform daily. The pupils wear a bottle green sweatshirt, gold polo shirt with black trousers or black skirt with black opaque tights/white socks.
