Ysgol Gyfun Rhydywaun is a Welsh Medium comprehensive school in the Cynon Valley in the village of Penywaun, Rhondda Cynon Taf, Wales.

The school was established in 1995. It provides Welsh-medium education for pupils from a wide catchment area, stretching from Penderyn to Abercynon in the Cynon Valley and from Pontsticill to Quakers Yard in Merthyr Tydfil.

There once was a Rhydywaun Youth Club, but it was demolished for a vegetable patch for the gardening club.

Lessons

There are many lessons at the school such as Welsh, Spanish, Mathematics, History, Geography, Science, PE, ICT, Cooking, Textiles, Wood Work, Electronics, Religious Education, Art, Drama, Music, Media, English, French, Business, Sociology, sicology, Health and Social, Health and Beauty

Clubs

There are many clubs: choir, drama, orchestra,band. Sports: football, rugby, netball, hockey, running and gymnastics. Also a science club and a homework club.
