"You're Gorgeous" is a song by the British band Babybird released as a commercial single in 1996.
Lyrical meaning
The song's lyrics concern the way a male photographer exploits his models.[1]
Reception
The song remains Babybird's biggest hit and the track that the band are best known for. On their album review of Ugly Beautiful, Allmusic (who gave the album 4.5 stars out of 5), praised "You're Gorgeous" because it "positively radiates with twisted sexuality."[2] The song was featured on Volume 35 of the UK's Now That's What I Call Music! compilation album series in November 1996.[3]
The song was also used in an Australian advertisement for Nurofen for Children.
