York Guardian

The York Guardian is a weekly tabloid format newspaper that is published each Thursday. The newspaper is published by Toronto Community News, a division of Metroland Media Group, which also publishes The North York Mirror, The East York Mirror, The Beach-Riverdale Mirror, The Scarborough Mirror, The Etobicoke Guardian and The Bloor-West Villager.

History

The York Guardian began publishing on September 8, 1996 and serves the area that was once the former City of York. The newspaper serves what they deem to be "Canada's most diverse community". Forty-thousand copies of the paper are printed each week, 30,000 of which are delivered direct to homes.
