Yoel Rodríguez Oterino (born 28 August 1988 in Vigo, Pontevedra, Galicia), simply known as Yoel, is a Spanish footballer who plays for Celta de Vigo as a goalkeeper.

Football career

A product of local Celta de Vigo's youth ranks, Yoel was promoted to the first team for the 2009–10 season, with the Galicians in the second division. On 10 February 2010, following a string of good performances in that year's Copa del Rey,[1][2][3] he was called up to the Spain national under-21 football team training camp by manager Juan Ramón López Caro.[4]

Yoel was first-choice in the 2011–12 campaign, playing 25 games as the Galicians returned to La Liga after five years. For the following season, however, he was loaned to neighbouring CD Lugo, also in the second level.[5]

Yoel returned to Celta for 2013–14, making his top level debut on 19 August in a 2–2 home draw against RCD Espanyol.[6]
