Cantor Yitzchak Meir Helfgot (Hebrew: יצחק מאיר הלפגוט, Yiddish: יצחק מאיר העלפגאט) is a Hasidic Orthodox Jewish Hazzan (cantor)and is known to be the best Jewish Cantor alive with some arguing that he surpasses the legendary Yossele Rosenblatt. Helfgot, born in Bnei Brak, Israel in 1969, currently resides in the Borough Park section of Brooklyn.
Helfgot currently serves as Chief Cantor of the Park East Synagogue in New York City.[1] On February 28, 2013 Helfgot performed with violinist Itzhak Perlman at a Jewish Music concert at the Barclay's Center in Brooklyn.[2]
