Yitzchak Amit (Hebrew: יצחק עמית) is a member of the Supreme Court of Israel. Born in 1958 in Tel-Aviv, Israel, he served in the IDF's unit 8200 and obtained his JD from Hebrew University in 1985.[1] He was elected to the Supreme Court in August 2009, and took office in October 2009.[2] He was previous a judge in the Haifa district court.[2]
