Yishun Bus Interchange is located in northern Singapore, across Yishun Avenue 2 from Yishun MRT Station. This existing bus interchange will be demolished to make way for a new fully air conditioned bus interchange which will also be articulated bus-friendly. The new interchange will be situated within a new shopping centre cum office and residential development, which is expected to be ready by 2017.
History
The shops at Block 923 were closed and subsequently demolished in 2012 due to the development plans. Residents who were residing at Block 923 were transferred to a new residential area.
On 17 June 2013, the Housing & Development Board (HDB) released the land parcel where the interchange will be located and launched it for sale on 28 June 2013.[2]
