"Yesterday Man" is a song written by Chris Andrews and his debut single as a solo singer, released in September 1965. It went up to No. 3 in the British charts and No. 1 in Ireland and Germany.[citation needed]
In 1974, it was covered by Robert Wyatt (produced by Nick Mason) as the follow-up to his hit of Neil Diamond's "I'm a Believer" (Virgin Records).
The song was also re-worked and released as True Leicester Fan by City People [1]
