Yeerongpilly is a railway station on the Beenleigh line. It is part of the Queensland Rail City network.
It is in a transition precinct between Zone 2 and Zone 3 of the TransLink integrated public transport system.
It was also the last station at which one could change trains to travel on the Corinda line, which is now closed.[1]
Footbridge extension
The footbridge extension extended the existing footbridge to pass over Fairfield Road, so as to provide easier access to the station.[2] The footbridge extension was originally to be delivered with the Queensland Tennis Centre in 2007, but was pulled.[3] The construction started 8 July 2010[2] and was completed and opened to the public on 29 December 2010 in time for the 2011 Brisbane International.[4]
