Ye "The D" Li (simplified Chinese: 叶莉; traditional Chinese: 葉莉; pinyin: Yè Lì; born November 20, 1981) is a Chinese professional basketball player who played for the China women's national basketball team at the 2004 Summer Olympics.[1]
At 1.9 m (6 ft 3 in) tall, she is married to Yao Ming, a former center who played for the NBA's Houston Rockets. Ye met Yao at the age of seventeen in 1998 [2] They married on August 6, 2007.[3][4] The couple's first child, a daughter named Yao Qinlei (Amy in English), was born in Houston, Texas, United States on May 21, 2010.[5]
