Yan Shunkai (born in E'cheng, Hubei or Shanghai on 6 June 1937) is a Chinese comedian, actor and film director.

Yan enrolled in the Central Academy of Drama in 1959, graduating in 1963.[1]

He won "The Gold Stick Prize" at the Second International Festival of Comedy Films in Switzerland in 1982 for his role in The True Story of Ah Q.[1]
