Yakov Krotov
Yakov Krotov (born in 1957) is a Russian journalist, historian, radio host and priest of Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church Reunited.[1][2][3][4]
Yakov Krotov is of mixed Russian (on his father's side) and Jewish (on his mother's side) descent.[5] After graduation from biological department of Moscow State University in 1982, he worked as a librarian and archivist. In 1991 he started his journalistic career and published numerous articles about the problems on tolerance in Russia, freedom of conscience, Christianity and democracy.
From 1997 he works for the Radio Free Europe, making regular talk-shows under the title "From the Christian point of view".[6][7]
He has been lecturing in the United States on the Russian Orthodoxy as a Bradley Visiting Scholar.
He is married and has two sons.
