Xue Yuyang (Chinese: 薛玉洋; pinyin: Xuē Yùyáng) (born October 4, 1982 in Henan) is a Chinese basketball player who currently plays for the Chinese basketball team Qingdao DoubleStar. He is 2.12 m (6 feet 11.5 inches) tall, weighs 120 kg, and plays as a forward-center.

In 2003, Xue entered the National Basketball Association Draft, without official permission, and the Chinese authorities refused to let him play in the United States. He was selected 57th overall by the Dallas Mavericks, who traded the pick to the Denver Nuggets.[1] However, as he had not received the necessary clearance from the Chinese Basketball Association, Dallas did not sign him to a NBA contract.

As of 2012, Xue is the only Chinese basketballer to have been selected in a NBA draft without ever playing in the NBA.

After subsequently failing to make the roster on any NBA team, Xue represented the now-defunct Hong Kong Flying Dragons of the CBA. From 2005-2011, he has played for the Xinjiang Flying Tigers.
