Xload

A picture of xload

xload is a graphical computer program in Unix which opens up a small window which begins to display a periodic update of a histogram of the average system load. A typical update period is ten seconds.

Options

A picture of xload running from the GNOME terminal, with the command xload -highlight blue -update 1 &, making the scale line blue and making xload update every second.

One can control various aspects of the display. For example, to display the scale line in blue:

xload -highlight blue
