The Grey Rustic or Neglected (Xestia castanea) is a moth of the Noctuidae family. It is found from central Europe to Morocco, Turkey, Lebanon, Israel, Jordan and Syria.

The wingspan is 36–42 mm. Adults are on wing between July and November depending on the location. There is one generation per year.

The larvae feed on various shrubs, including Calluna, Sarothamnus, Vaccinium and Poaceae.[1]
