It is found in the Malay Peninsula (continental Malaysia and southern Thailand and Burma). Records from Cambodia and Vietnam are doubtful.[2] Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and rivers. It is threatened by habitat loss.[1]
