Xavier "Xavi" Pascual i Vives (born September 9, 1972, in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, Spain) is a Spanish professional basketball coach. He has been the head coach of FC Barcelona since February 14, 2008. On May 9, 2010, he became the youngest coach who managed to win the Euroleague (only counting the Euroleague Basketball Company era, since the year 2000), and soon after, he also won the Euroleague Coach of the Year Award.

Coaching career

The first team Pascual coached was Gavà (1990–91). Other teams he has coached are: Cornellà, Santfeliuenc, Olesa, and Aracena. In the 2004–05 season, Pascual moved to FC Barcelona, where became the coach of the club's Liga EBA farm team.

He then became the assistant head coach of the first division team, in the 2005–06 season. When head coach Duško Ivanović was fired in 2008, he became the head coach. On September 21, 2012, Pascual has extended his contract with Barcelona until the end of 2014–15 season.[1]
