From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Xanthus Spur is a mainly ice-covered spur extending 6 km north-westward from Mount Priam in the Trojan Range of Anvers Island, in the Palmer Archipelago of Antarctica. It was surveyed by the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey (FIDS) in 1955 and named by the United Kingdom Antarctic Place-Names Committee (UK-APC) for Xanthus, son of Zeus and the god of one of the two chief rivers of the Trojan plain.
