History
The settlement Weninge was mentioned for the first time in 949 in the index of Abbot Hadamar from the German monastery Fulda. The church that was built around 1200 is renovated to a multifunctional centre. Wyns was in the Middle Ages an important place because all lawsuits of Eastergoa were held there and the Grietmans sometimes held meetings in the church.
