Wycliffe Ambetsa Oparanya is a Kenyan politician. He belongs to the Orange Democratic Movement and was elected to represent the Butere Constituency in the National Assembly of Kenya since the Kenyan parliamentary election, 2007.[1]
Wycliffe Oparanya ins the serving Minister for Planning Development and Vision 2030 in Kenyas Grand Coalition Government. Oparanya is among Ministers Appointed by secondment of Prime minister Raila Odinga from The Orange Democratic Movement party after the prime Minister signed the national Accord Act to form a coalition Government with President Kibaki after the disputed 2007 elections
Wyclife Oparanya 48 was born at Emabole in Butere Constituency Western Kenya. He attended Mabole Primary School Butere Boys High School and Kisii High School before joining the University of Nairobi. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree and a Masters in Public Finance from the same institution
Before joining politics in 2002, Oparanya workrd at the Kenya Aerotec Ltd as Chief Financial Controller. He plunged into politics and successfully captured the Butere seat from Amukowa Anangwe.
