Wyck (Limburgian: Wiek) is a neighbourhood in Maastricht, Netherlands comprising the eastern Maas bank of the city's historic centre.

Areas

The neighbourhood has three distinct parts:

  • Oud-Wyck (Old Wyck), comprising the built-up area dating from the Middle Ages, once surrounded by Maastricht's city wall.
  • The area surrounding the Maastricht railway station, dating from the 19th-century.
  • Céramique, an area developed during the 1990s/2000s on the site of the former Société Céramique-factory, consisting of mostly new-built apartment blocks and some historic buildings. Though often seen as a neighbourhood in itself, it is officially part of Wyck.
