Wuxi New Area

Wuxi New District (simplified Chinese: 无锡新区; traditional Chinese: 無錫新區) is a district of Wuxi in Jiangsu Province. The district has an area of 220 km² and a population of around 275,000.

In the 1992 the district was founded as an industrial zone in order to attract large foreign companies. It is home to many such companies such as hard disk maker Seagate, the Japanese electrical giant Sony and Matsushita Electric among others.

Administrative divisions

Xishan includes 8 towns. They are Dōngtíng, Anzhèn, Yángjiān, Hóngshān, Ehú, Dōngběi Táng, Xīběi and Dōnggǎng.
