The Worcester News is a tabloid newspaper based in Worcester, UK. The Worcester newspaper, which was re-branded from the Worcester Evening News in July 2005, is the largest selling daily local newspaper in Worcester. The Worcester News is published Monday to Saturday. Wednesday's edition includes a substantial jobs section, Thursday's includes a property supplement and on Friday there is a motoring section.[citation needed]
The Worcester News covers the city and the surrounding areas within Worcestershire. The paper is published at offices in Hylton Road, Worcester, which overlook the Pitchcroft Racecourse and the River Severn.[citation needed]

The Worcester News was named Midlands Newspaper of the Year in 2010.[citation needed]
The newspaper is owned by Newsquest Media Group which was acquired by the Gannett corporation in 1999. The Newsquest head office is based in Weybridge, Surrey, and employs a total of more than 9,100 people across the UK. With 300 titles to its name, Newsquest is the second largest publisher of regional and local newspapers in the United Kingdom.
In September 2005, Newsquest bought Exchange & Mart and Auto Exchange from United Advertising Publications, after UAP merged with sister company CMPi in a restructuring of US parent UBM.[2]
