Winpak Ltd. (TSX: WPK) is a company based in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. The company manufactures and distributes packaging materials and products that are used to protect perishable foods, beverages, and in health care applications.
The company was founded in 1977 in Winnipeg and has nine production plants across North America. There are 1,800 employees company-wide. In Manitoba, the company employs 580 people. Winpak is a part on Finland-based Wihuri Group.
In 2006, Winpak was listed as one of the top 100 companies in Manitoba.[2] In 2007, Winpak was named exporter of the year by the Manitoba government. [3]
