Wim Vandekeybus

Wim Vandekeybus is a Belgian choreographer, dancer, film director and actor. His dance company is based in Brussels, and is called Ultima Vez. He directed several shows, since his first piece in 1987, What The Body Does Not Remember. Many different composers and rock artists have been writing scores for his shows, including X-Legged Sally, Peter Vermeersch, Thierry De Mey, David Byrne, Marc Ribot, David Eugene Edwards, Mauro Pawlowski and Elko Blijweert. He directed also several movies, some of them based on his dance material and some not.
In 2011, Monkey Sandwich was selected at the 68th Venice International Film Festival, out of competition, in the Orizzonti section.
