Wilhelm Wachsmuth

Wilhelm Gottfried Wachsmuth (born 28 December 1784 in Hildesheim, Lower Saxony, Germany — died 23 January 1866 in Leipzig, Saxony, Germany) was a German historian and academic.[1]

He was Professor ordinarius of Classical Philology at the University of Kiel from 1820 to 1826, and Professor ordinarius of History of Philosophy at the University of Leipzig from 1826 to 1865.[1]
