The White-collared Fruit Bat (Megaerops wetmorei) is a species of megabat found in Southeast Asia.
Distribution
It has only been recorded in Tasek Merimbun, Brunei. This specimen was reviewed and reassigned as a subspecies Megaerops wetmorei albicollis (Francis, 1989). The white-tufted neck fruit bat can be found in Pasoh Forest Reserve, Tasik Merimbun, Brunei, Mindano Island, and the Philippines (Francis 1989).
External measurements
A specimen held by Brunei Museum (BM87/1983) had a forearm length 48 mm, head-body length 65 mm, ear 12 mm, hind foot length 8 mm and weight 16 g.
