Westholme School is an independent school set on the edge of the countryside to the west of Blackburn, England, providing a caring learning environment for boys and girls aged 2 to 18. There are five separate departments of the school which cater for students from nursery to sixth form. The supportive atmosphere and strong links between the sites allows each child to develop their own strengths and achieve academic success.

The five different departments are:

  • Senior School for Girls & Boys - Wilmar Lodge For Girls & Boys Aged 11–18, this also incorporates the School's Sixth Form
  • Girls' Junior School - Beardwood Bank For Girls Aged 7–11
  • Boys' Junior School - Beardwood House For Boys aged 7–11
  • Infant School - Billinge House For Girls & Boys aged 3–7
  • Nursery For Girls & Boys aged 2–3

Westholme boasts excellent facilities such as a professional full sized Theatre and Sportsmark Gold awarded sports facilities including an all weather pitch at the Senior School site. The current purpose built Nursery has also been extended. The Music Centre was extended in the academic year 2012/2013.

Examination results at SATS, GCSE and A Level stages are consistently very good and most pupils leaving the Sixth Form go on to study a variety of subjects at university.
