West Ashton is a village civil parish in Wiltshire, England. It is two miles south of Trowbridge, on the A350 between Melksham and Yarnbrook bypassing Trowbridge.
The parish includes the hamlets of East Town and Rood Ashton. Rood Ashton House was a country house that was destroyed in stages in the 20th century. The Church of England parish church of Saint John the Evangelist includes the family crypt of the Long family, visible in the bottom left of the image, formerly the owners of Rood Ashton House.
Before the late 19th century, West Ashton was part of Steeple Ashton parish. Both were within the hundred of Whorwellsdown.
To the north of the village on the A350 is the folly known as Long's Park Castle, originally a lodge for Rood Ashton House. It is now used for holiday accommodation.
