Werneria mertensiana is a species of toad in the Bufonidae family. It is found in Cameroon, possibly Equatorial Guinea, and possibly Nigeria. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, rivers, rocky areas, and heavily degraded former forest. It is threatened by habitat loss.
