Awards Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross

Werner Rudolph Anton (3 April 1895 12 September 1948) was a highly decorated Generalleutnant in the Luftwaffe during World War II who commanded the 6. Flak-Division. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Werner Anton was taken prisoner and was held until 1948.
