Weaste Metrolink station is a stop on the Eccles Line of Greater Manchester's light rail Metrolink system. It opened to passengers on 12 June 1999 as part of Phase 2 of the network's expansion, and is located the Weaste area of the City of Salford, in North West England.

Weaste Metrolink station is close to the M602 motorway and The Willows, the former home stadium of Salford City Reds.

Services

Weaste is located on the Eccles Line with trams towards Manchester Piccadilly or Eccles stopping every 12 minutes during the day Monday-Saturday. Trams run every 12 minutes Monday-Saturday evenings and Sunday daytime and every 15 minutes Sunday evenings between Manchester Piccadilly and Eccles, which calls at MediaCityUK.[1]

Connecting bus routes

Weaste station is served by First Greater Manchester service 27, which runs to Swinton and to Manchester via Pendleton, First service 33, which runs to Manchester and to Worsley via Eccles, with evening and Sunday journeys continuing to Wigan via Atherton and First service 63, which runs to Manchester and to Brookhouse via Eccles.[2]
